Prop & Shaft to Hull Alignment
I just bent a prop on my ’04 XLV on the mud/rocks but it was not a hard hit. I swapped the prop and the boat runs fine with no shutter, pull, or shaft seal leakage at all. The question is though when I looked from the stern up the hull the shaft is slightly aligned to the left. Is this normal, or should the prop and shaft be aligned exactly parallel with the hull? I know I should have noticed this before but I simply didn’t.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Your strut is bent to the left?
99% sure it's normal and your shaft is perfectly aligned...
My 03 strut is factory bent to the left too..____________

the prop shaft and rudder do not line up so you can remove the shaft without removing the rudder
