Default Ballast bag water loss solution :)

I've noticed that after surfing about 10 minutes my 1100 lb surf bag prob would lose about 200 lbs. I quickly determined that due to the list of the boat it was emptying thru the vent line. So some quick Maguivering I came up with a simple solution......... wine cork.....full synthetic, not cork

Doc, I like it! I noticed the same thing but thought water was leaking thru my check valve but you are right - the drain thru hull is lower than the top of the bag so the water is draining out until the level in the bag is even with the drain hole. Now, we just need to remember to remove it before we hit the drain switch!

daze, you're missing the most important part of docs post - you need to DRINK to get the right fix. I'm not much of a wine guy out on the boat, so we need to figure out how to make this work with a can!

I take the plastic 6 pack thingy and shove it in the hole-- of course this requires drinking the whole six pack first.

I suppose you could roll up the cardboard from a 12er like a stogie and shove it in there. Alcoholics are always the most resourceful.

Great idea DOCDRS! Now if you can buy some black corks you'd be pimpin.

Sorry, but it's a fox paws to take pimpin' advice from Newty anymore. I think he's using painted frisbees for hubcaps on his truck wheels now too.
