    Default Carpet inserts?

I saw an old classified post from Chillyx (link below) and was wondering where one would get something like this. Our 2010 LSV we got in March is truly our "perfect" boat, and seeing as it fits all our needs, we plan on keeping it as long as we can. From past boat experience, it seems like the carpet is always the first to show the true age of a boat. We clean and vacuum ours after every outing, but there's just not much you can do with the amount of traffic in a boat.

With all this said, I think an insert similar to this is a great idea to keep the original carpet in good shape. Maybe you guys and gals will convince me that it's actually a bad idea (permanently flattening the carpet?), and if that's the case at least I'd know.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts. A snapshot of my partners in crime - part of the reason I want a carpet cover!

I bought the overlay fron Chillyx and it works well, not an exact fit but it does cover 99.9%. Easy to remove and clean and made from much better carpet than the stock. Your carpets going to get matted and flattened no matter what, with an overlay at least it stays clean. It's in the pics from the post, Matworks.

A shot from last week at Bullards.

Martin: That chi shot is awesome! We just got one about two weeks ago and he is a hoot! I always thought that they had a real skittish personality but this guy is very friendly and playful.
