Storage locker arm/brace?
I have an 02' Outback and thought about putting together a hydraulic type arm/brace on my rear storage ski locker so when I open it, it will stay up without me having to hold it. Like the hood of a car.
Anybody do this?
I believe the newer boats already have these on the V-drives?
Thanks,
Cody

Should be easy enough to do. Overtons sells the parts. Go to overtons.com and search on "gas lift".

A picture would be great if you could get one.
Thanks.

Do you know if stores like Lowes, Home Depot, etc would generally have these types of gas lifts?

I know that Lowes and Home Depot do NOT have these - I have checked.
I am going to check with AutoZone and see if one for a vehicle might fit.

My 90 Mustang Hatchback has struts that look almost exactly like the ones on my ski-locker doors on the Outback
