    Default Noobies figuring it out...

Here is a shot of my 13 year old daughter this evening behind my Outback with basically no ballast other than a couple bodies. She is close to figuring it out. She really likes it. Hope to have some bags and other clutter soon so I can start to figure it out.

Definitely need a little ballast but she looks like she's getting it down. That looks kind of familiar. Is that on the Fox River?
My Mom said I'm not allowed to get wet!

Nope, it's on Apple Canyon Lake in the northwest corner of the state by Galena.

Wayne, I grew up in Rock Falls. Apple River Canyon is kind of my old hood.

If you can surf that small of a wake, you are definitely maxing your riding skills. Some ballast is definitely in order. Fat sacs are really pretty cheap, although I've heard of other solutions (like large rubbermaid tubs, or even several paint/drywall buckets).

Look on ebay for some 400 fat sacs that someone pulled to replace with large and I bet you can get a couple for well under $100. Then you just need a pump.
