Default The installation of my SeaDek Swim Platform Pad...

After laying out my custom design I anxiously waited for about a month to have it made, and when it showed up I couldn't wait to get the thing installed! I went out last night and got the job done, and I have the blisters to prove it!

Removing the old pad was easier than I thought, but getting all the leftover adhesive was a bit of a pain. I used mineral spirits and elbow grease, took about 45 minutes.

I did all this with the boat in the water, which was a little tricky, but not too bad.

    On with the pics!

    Checking them out!

Old pad removed, you can see the adhesive that I had to remove before installing the new pad:

Cleaned up and ready to rock!

Test fitting the new pad. I layed it out and held in place with blue tape, then peeled one corner of the backing off, layed it down and then removed the rest of the backing. This made the installation a snap, and ensured my lines were straight and spacing was correct:

I can't wait! Unfortunately my ski partner (aka my dad) is going on the Hot Rod Power Tour and won't be home for like a week, so I'll have to con my girlfriend into driving or something!
