    Default Keelguard Performance

For those of you who have installed Keelguard on your boats, are there any negative effects to it? Do you lose any top-end speed or anything else? I am seriously considering putting it on my 07 Mobius LS direct drive.

I had one on my 2000 supra and I loved it. We beach the boat quite often so I will be installing one on my 2005 xlv also. I never noticed any performance issues at all.

'04 LSV ---------- love the keel guard. No performance issues. I beach a lot (on soft sand) and it has held on quite nicely.
I did have to shorten my front trailer bunks by about 1/4-1/2" so that the keel guard wasn't resting on the bunk. Not sure that would cause a problem, just seemed like the right thing to do.
