    Default Changing V-drive oil?

I'm having a hard time getting the oil out. How is everyone else doing it? I'm trying to pump it out through the dip stick opening, same way i did the tranny, and not getting any out.
Its the V-drive on an '07 LSV.

    Thanks for any thoughts...

You need to warm the engine up first. Still will flow slow, but at least faster than cold oil.

What type of extractor are you using? Electric? Hand?

i'm using a hand pump extractor. I ran the motor for 5-10 minutes, drained the engine then tried draining the v-drive. couldn't get any to come out, just air.

You need a tube that is smaller than the one you used through the engine oil dipstick. You have to work it to the bottom of the V-drive. It is SAE 30 weight oil and it's gonna take a while to get it out. Snaking the thin line to the bottom is a little tricky. Try to use a hose about the same size as the V-drive dipstick.
