    Default 2010 Cruise Control

I just ordered a 2010 Outback. The dealer convinced me to upgrade the cruise control, because he said the standard cruise control was RPM based, which did not hold speed consistently, and would vary the speed based on number of passengers, etc. However, I see that Moomba states that the following is new in 2010: "•New Digital Cruise speed based cruise system now standard on all Moombas". Does anyone know how the standard cruise system works? I wonder if I need the upgraded cruise. Thanks.

We've had both - RPM based in our 2007 Outback and now speed based in our 2010 LSV. I haven't noticed a huge difference, but the speed based does seem to hold the speed better on turns. All in all it's a good setup, but it's still not PP.
