    Default Wakesurfing board for kids

Anyone have any suggestions for a good starter board for a 55lb 10 yr old?

My 13 year old son and my 10 year old daughter can go miles on their Liquid Force Venture.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll check the venture out. He's eager to get started.

No positive but I think Ronix or Hyperlite makes a groom board. There is a member that makes them as well. Salty Oysters look him up.

My son learned on a Hyperlite Broadcast 4'-9" board. Great board for lighter folks.

Yup, the smaller Broadcast is easy to handle and fun to ride. Lots of people from kids up to 170 lb adults can ride it. Ed's better half really liked it when she tried Daze's over the weekend. Actually, he liked it too.

My son thought the Hyperlite Broadcast 4'-9" was great until we got a Reactsurf Drive 4'-6" (reactsurf.com). Now my son and I both ride the Drive and we keep the Hyperlite as a beginner board for lightweight riders

Here's a recent vid of my son on the Drive.

    Nice wave we had there.

one nice thing about the broadcast boards-they fit the standard wakeboard racks

Did anybody notice the water on Ed's lake isn't brown this year? It was clean enough to see the alligators coming toward you. Very nice. No coffee color. Water levels were a bit higher so we could run through some of the canals that connect the chain. Very neat area to boat.
