Well I had trouble with wiring that was sometimes in the water, being on a stereo and on equipment that will not cause you any real issues is not really an issue.

I used I think Security system wire.
It is a 4 or 5 small gauge wires inside one coating. Home Depot or lowes sells it bulk. they are multi colored and easy to use!Brad
