Default stress cracks at tower mounts

So I am now starting to see some stress cracks coming off the tower mounts in the gel coat. One on the front port and one on a middle port mount.

about a month ago I tightened the bolts on all mounts and I also put 4 tower speakers on (added alot of weight).

Could either of these be the culprit??

Haven't even hit the water with it yet??

If all you have done is tighten the tower bolts and added speakers but not been on the water then how tight did you make those bolts?

Also where are the cracks exactly? Any pictures?

I have herd of SC covering cracks as warrenty but it all depends on the situation im sure.

I just snugged them up till the rubber spacer started to sqeeze!
We had gail force winds here for the last month and it's been outside so I'm not so sure it hasn't been swaying quite a bit from that. But that would just replicate the movement on the water anyway??

I'm kinda at a loss and guess I need to just live with it?? I hate things like that though

I have some similar stress cracks that are 1-2 feet away from the tower (not coming directly from it). I was recently quoted $1000-$1200 to fix it! After talking with another gel coat specialist, I was told that they are aesthetic only and would likely return in a year or two if they were repaired. Not sure if your situation is exactly the same though.
