Default OJ 14.25x14 vs. Acme 14.5x14.25

I know the prop tests have just concluded and I have read every post mulitipe times, but here is my question:

I have a 2008 XLV with the 340 hp motor and it came with the oj wakeboard prop (14.25x14). It has tons of power and gets on plane fast, with tons of people in the boat and the ballasts full, I just want more top end cruising speed, higher mph, less rpm. Where we go, sometimes you cruise around of a while to find a nice cove to ride in.

Will this acme 1235 (14.5x14.25) give me a higher top speed? Also will it still have enough power to pull up wake boarders like the oj wake board prop?

We usually go boating around 5k feet elevation.

    Thanks for all the help.

I would say call Acme on that question. The reason? Your average elevation being the determinant. All the prop test were done at almost sea level and will be off on your particular application.

A difference in pitch of a 1/2" should not lower RPM by much if any. Would guess it would run close to the same MPH/RPM as the current prop.

Well if the pitch changes and the size changes, I thought it would change the RPM=MPH, by some.

There is also an increase in diameter on the Acme of 1/2". On "paper" the two props are the same size and should produce like RPM numbers, relative to cupping as well, or very close numbers.
