    Default New Deck options

I really wanna upgrade my headunit and the driver remote thing.

I am really leaning towards the alpine cda-118m and the Alpine MC10. Links are below.

Anyone got any pros cons or anything better I should be looking at??

Alot of people on here are going to the new Kenwood 700U

    https://forum.moomba.com/showthread....t=kenwood+700u

I was looking at Alpine myself but ultimately decided on a newer Kenwood KDC X-493 HU with 3 preamps I found for under $150 NEW. That allowed me to use the factory remote puck. I took the extra $$ saved on a $500 HU and put it into upgrading all the speakers, amp, and sub.

IMO you don't need a "marine" specific head unit as it is usually out of the way in the glove box or somewhere similiar and connected to the ipod or satellite and seldom ever touched.

I just got the Kenwood KDC-X494, it is GREAT! Works with factory remote, has three 4V outputs, USB and 3mm plug, works with jump drives, i-pod, i-phone, and even my sansa MP3 player. You get alot for what you spend with the Excelon models. Got mine on amazon NEW for 136.48 shipped. http://http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001P7QJAC/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=

Great buy, great product, I am very happy. Check it out!

I went with a Kenwood Excelon kdc-x692 for the 3 pairs of full range 4V outputs and low price (about $125) and iPhone compatibility (although I just use the aux in). Has lots of adjustability and works with the existing remotes. Been real happy with it.
