    Default Glue in quick connects??

Why is it recomended to use pvc glue to install the threaded quick connects to the bags instead of using teflon tape??

    Seems really permanent?

    pro's and cons anyone?

Well, the obvious con to glue over teflon tape is that it's permanent (more or less). I use teflon tape on all of mine and they don't leak so I see no reason to go with glue. My guess is that the factory goes with glue to minimize the complaints about leaks. There is no downside for them to using glue.

Good thinking. That's what I'd do. I love that tape.

    Joe,

Another reason to use glue is that I've heard some had problems with the fitting popping of the threads. I think it was because the hose was too short probably. I think ED G glued his in for this reason.

I could see how that would happen under pressure.

    Thx
