That's definitely a good deal! I'm glad so many Moomba owners are taking advantage of our research to upgrade their systems so they function like they should have from the factory!

Forgive my ignorance; what does the vented loop do, and where does it go?

Check out our blog for an explanation of vented loops, and what they do for ballast systems.

Holy Cow - $27.99 for those puppies on sale for $10? NICE
I'm ignorant on the issue as well. So if using these you would take out the sprinkler valve and run a straight hose from the pump to the "vented loop" and then to the bag??
Keep in mind I have a DD and only 1 plumbed bag at the moment and it has 1 fill pump, sprinkler valve, and then the bag with 2 outlets on the top of the bag. The Starboard side has a drain pump and the port side is just a hose to the fitting (not exactly sure why).
Like I said - stupid on the issue

Just to clarify, the items sold on ebay were not the same brand as the ones we carry. Not that ours are necessarily worth the extra money, but just to make it an apples to apples comparison.
In order to get rid of the sprinkler valves you must do two things:
- Install a vented loop (which prevents siphon filling and draining
- Remove the factory scupper intake from the hull of the boat (either by cutting it off or replacing the entire fitting)
It is these two changes together that are required on Supra and Moomba boats to prevent the bags from filling and draining, one or the other will not work.

Viking,
You got it right. To eliminate the restrictive sprinkler valve, you would mount the vented loop as high as possible and as close to the bag as possible then run hose from the pump to it then to the bag. As Jason says, you also need to either cut the cup off the scupper or replace it altogether with a mushroom type intake.

viking,
The cup or scoop on the scupper forces water into the intake thru the fill pump, and into the bags since we have removed the sprinkler valves. The vented loop prevents this from happening. It also prevents water from draining back down thru the fill lines when at rest.
