Default 20 hour service - too soon?

We have just under 13 hrs on the boat. I'm having an issue with the boat (see other thread if interested) and taking it to the dealer tomorrow. Is it too soon to go ahead and have the first service taken care of while it's there? Our dealer is an hour away, which isn't a big deal, but the next two weekends we will be out of town and it would be an ideal time to have it done to avoid down time. Thoughts?

If it were me, I'd wait. <13 hours is just so little run time.

OK I always hate these 20 hour or 10,000 or whatever hour/mile maintenance things because honestly they are to make money for the dealer. OK with that being said (plus that fact I do all my own maintenance) you should have a printed list of what is done at this 20 hour checkup. Look at the list and decide if they are time dependant (although again what is going to wear out in 20 hours) I would image it is just a bolt checking thing with the exception of changing the oil for the first time. And once you look this list over you should come to some conclusion that since you have already driven there you might as well not have to drive back in 7 hours.

The first service should be done not sooner than 10 hours and not more than 20 hours. If you have 13 hours, that is a good timeto get that first service done.
