    Default Small tear in vinyl

Have 2019 Max. I have a small tear in the vinyl, about the size of a pencil b point. Trying to prevent it from tearing further.

    Thoughts?

most will say patch from the back to give it strength and keep it from expanding. I think it's as simple as gluing another piece of vinyl to the back side around the spot. doesn't have to be same color, just something to give the tear some strength.

I'd seek out an upholstery shop. the couple bills they will charge would be peace of mind for me that it should be done right but with some patience and proper staple/nail guns could be done at home.

If it is that small, I have had luck with simply dabbing clear vinyl adhesive over the hole out about 1/8” onto the vinyl. Doesn’t look great, but looks better than a patch in my opinion.

Jcarter20 thanks for the tip. I considered super glue as well. Vinyl adhesive probably a better route as I think it would flex better than glue and perform better over time in the sun. Thanks
