Problem with 12v outlet

I tried using my 12v outlet for the first time to charge my iphone in my boat and neither one would seemed to be getting any power to them. I have one located by the driver and one by the radio. The car charger I was using has a little red light that comes on when its plugged in but it would not light up and of course the phone wouldn't charge. I checked behind the plug to make sure that the wires had not come lose and all connections were tightly attached.

I tried using it while the boat was running and still no power. Any suggestions? Could it be a fuse?

Definitely sounds like a fuse.
