    Default My Exile Sub Enclosure

Below are pics of my Exile sub enclosure taken during prop testing today. It is the prototype for the final production model. It's the same dimensionally but is made up of slightly thinner material. Brian assures me that it's plenty robust for the 400W rms 4 ohm DVC Exile sub that I put in there (being driven by the 5th channel on my Kicker 700.5 at 420 watts rms @ 2ohm).

I tested the system on the water today and it is night and day over the 10" Polk/MOMO that I had in the footbox. Whereas the bass was boomy and undefined before, it is rich, deep, and musical now. It really blends well with the cabin speakers and adds so much depth to the music. I couldn't be happier with it.

Thanks again Brian for a great product and for the great deal on the proto!

This pic is a bit dark but you can see that there is ample leg room still left.

When i get my boat back tomorrow i shoot a bunch of finished install pics of my system.

Looking really nice Al. Im glad you where able to come to Exile and meet Brian and hear that enclosure first hand. Pictures and video really don't do this box justice. Its really a work of art and a feat of engineering.

    Cab,

You reading my mind or something? LOL The XPe12 grill looks great! Exactly what I am planning.

    Nice clean install.

Agreed, I like the look of the grill also.

Here's a head on shot. Note that the front panel on the production version is much taller - it goes all the way up to the steering rack.
