    Default tower speaker cans

    What is a good can that will hold a polk db651 ?

    I went to install mine today and my cans were too small for the speakers

    The cheapest cans i've found (and used) that look good for the money are made by DIYwake. You can get a pair right now for $141 w/ clamps and binding posts.

    There's also Pyramid Manufacturing on ebay, same company but you save $20 on the same setup, go figure.

    I have been looking at those but didnt know how they would look. And they are they same price at both places. Ebay has 20.00 shipping and their site is free shipping.

    OK here's a couple of shots of their "old" style cans i did on another boat. These run big to accomodate all 6.5" speakers so if you install a normal size 6.5" like i did in this case then you'll have a lip showing around the perimeter. I fixed that by painting the face a metallic red to blend. These also have an offset clamo pracket which they no longer use.
