First off 300 hours is nothing, i sold my last boat at 900 and it was purring like a kitten, still going strong at 1200.

The Outback LSV is the same as the Mobius LSV without a tower and ballast and a very other subtle things as i understand it per the year in question. Last year was '07 for the Outbacl LSV.

The older Mobius V is not the same as the Mobius LSV. The best hull and last change for the LSV is 2006 and up. So the '03-'05 are the same.

not to sure about the 08 xlv motor but all email them.
would you guys say that the XLV will be alot slower cause the it will weight alot more and prob use more gas. also Iam guessing the the VLX will throw a bigger wake thd the LSV. how would you guys rate the wake for the boats I listed.

Any used purchase should have a pre-purchase inspection by a marine mechanic. Make sure that it's someone who knows Indmar drives.

If the XLV is mechanically sound and you really can accommodate it (tow vehicle, storage space), it's the one that will give you "doubt removal" about having bought enough boat.

You can look up specs and other info using the "Archive" link at the top of this page under "About Moomba". The pre 2006 lsv hull is the same as the Outback V in 06-08. Either of the 06 LSV or the XLV are fantastic boats. Check to see if it will fit in the garage though. I sold my 2000 Outback LS with 490 hrs. on it. It was still like new under the clam. Best of luck to you.

Did you see "Emmas Moomba" in the Classifieds? If I remember correctly, it was a loaded 2008 LSV with 30 hours on it. He sounded pretty flexible on the price. Seemed like a deal to me.

There's a reason the LSV is the best selling boat in Moomba's line-up, just the right size and does it all very well. If you're not taking 9-10 peeps out with you everywhere you go then i'd seriously consider the LSV, it's lighter and will fit in a garage (maybe). If you have everyone and your neighbor wanting to go out and your vehicle can handle the weight then look at the XLV.

I don't think you will be happy skiing behind any of those.

Really, what are you trying to do? For surfing and wakeboarding, the bigger the better; hard to beat the XLV.
