Hi,
I had one on my trailer when I purchased it. It was located near the front of the trailer. I don't use it (took it off) since I only drive 3 miles to my local lake and If I drive further than I throw the spare in my truck. In any case, I would like to sell this mount(frame mount only - no tire) if anyone who comes across this post is interested...08 Outback

here's mine. swingaway does hit it, but still swings out of the way enough.. never had an issue hitting the boat with it, as long as boat is lined up on trailer properly, never gets low enough to hit it. miss the bunks though and you might

I thought on the new trailers it laid down under the bow behind the bow stop upright. Mine has a place there to lie the spare in and bolt it down.

Ive seen some under the Bow bolted like your saying. I have herd though they will drag on the ground if you have a slanted driveway. I have a new rim, need a tire, still trying to see where i want it mounted.
Last summer i saw a trailer with the spare mounted under the rear corner where the guide pole is. I haven't been able to find that bracket though.Malo <--- Means--Evil or Mean One. This explains a lot.

I don't have a spare right now due to my boat goes from sorage to the lake, from the lake to storage, but with this trip to Florida and Georgia this summer I think I'll pick one up. I wonder if the spare from my 24 ft car hauler will work? What's the bolt pattern anyone?

Phospher: May be interested if the color is right and it would fit. I have a 2007 Outback with a black single axel trailer with the swing away tongue.
