newty, Sounds like your project is just growing since this winter has all ready been too long. Let us know what you do about the cooler. I have been thinking for a month about pulling mine out.2008 Outback V - Sold but never forgotten.

I've actually started considering cutting down a real cooler and lifting the seat base up and sliding it under. The problem is finding a cooler that has the rough demensions I need.
PWI as usual...

The cooler in these boats are worthless I cut mine out and made room for a hidden sack under the seats !!! surfs up
