    Default 320 h.p. oil change

Just wondering about my engine oil change.
Starting this next year I plan on changing my own oil.
I noticed there is a line running from the oil pan to the rear of the engine. I assume this is to pump the old oil from my engine.
If in fact it is why does my dealer use an oil stick pump to remove the old oil and not this line?
He also uses a manual pump. Why not an electric one?
    Thanks for any help!

    Default Vdrive oil change

The cleanest and most convenient item that I use is from Land andSea amarine distributor in Fl. It is a 4gal. bucket with a lid and a small hole for the hose from the bipolar D.C. motor on top. It is impellar driven, the hose that comes with it fits directly over the oil drain hose on the motor. With luke warm oil you can drain your pain in about three minutes, there is no mess sice the oil goes directly into the bucket, the only clean up is the 2or 3 drops spilled when separating the 2 hoses. When done you simply hook the cables from the motor to a 12V battery and hit the switch in rev. and you can neatly discharge the oil into a recycle barrel. The reason the dealer may have had the hand pump one is maybe because this item is about 250$. It seems like alot, but if you are going to do your own oil changes, and don't want to spend time cleaning carpet, it pays for itself in no time. I will try to get an address and part# and post it for all who may be interested. Brian Raymond
