hatch springs (kanga)
Has anyone installed some kind of spring, or 'gas tube' to hold
open the observer's seat hatch on their Kanga? (or the rear ski
locker?). I've seen them in Overton's, but I don't know what
size or strength, etc. will be needed. Also found some at my
local NAPA parts store, but they look a little too beefy for this
application. Trying to avoid some time-consuming 'experimentation'.
Thanx,
Randall
PS. My earlier post on this subject is unreadable (at least by my
browser), So I'm trying again. Apologies for the double post.
PPS. Matt/Rick -- not a bad idea for 2003 models, huh?

I had asked about springs to hold the motor compartment open and was told that about a 25lb spring should work fine. So for the items you are looking at adding these too maybe about a 10lb spring. Just a guess.
