What is the starter solenoid part # for the 330HP MPI engine in the 2000 Kamberra? Is this a standard GM solenoid? Is this starter counterrotating or standard?

It is an intermittent problem. i.e., it works fine 90% of the time. Where does the tach get its input from? Is there a connection somewhere that could be corroded or loose?

Follow up status report:

After the boat ran "sluggush", it would not start at all the next time out. The electric fuel pump would not run. Traced wires, checked fuses and relays--still no power...

As a follow up, the electric fuel pump will NOT run at all via the boat's electirc system. The pump will run when direct wired to 12 volts.

The 3 15 amp fuses are okay and the 50 amp breaker...
