There are 3. The thru hulls and hose leading to the T should be bigger diameter IMO so as not to restrict flow.
The additional thru hulls quoted maybe for over flows as one(or 2) per sac won't cope....

I would not attempt any such activity on a G23... you would probably snap a shaft and lose your running gear!:)
