makes sense now! That's why a washer comes with the kit.. I read on some forums that people were putting the washer between the impeller and seal.. apparently they were putting it in the wrong spot.....

My bad.. forgot to mention it's a 2013 mobius lsv.. :p

Thank you guys for your help! I took the pump off the boat to inspect.. and you were correct! The spring inside the seal was gone.. Instead of tearing the pump apart I SLOWLY peeled the seal out with...

Oh wow.. that looks like the same spring that came out.. it was at the back of the impeller like you are saying.. do you know how difficult it is to replace that seal? I'm all for trying things...

I haven't looked to see if it did or not.. I will take a peek at it.. hope not.. it would surprise me if it did as it was a pretty flimsy, soft piece of metal spring
