The XLV has tons of space, I store three surfboards under the plapen when towing, two wakeboards in each side compartment and vests go behind the observers seat, with plenty of room to spare.

The answer to your original question is yes there...
The answer to your original question is yes there is a huge difference in the design of the hulls. The new LSV 06 and newer is a 22' boat which has a lot more freeboard therefore a higher weight...
