My 2014 had a sticker price at 52K or so. Not every option but well equipped. I paid about 44K for it.

You can take it apart and tighten it up. It is kind of a pain but if you don't want to replace it, you can tighten it up. I had to do this on my 14 Outback and it works fine now.
