The selection of lakes that you can use is somewhat limited. There are two lakes within 30 minutes of us and one about an hour away that we can use. The Colorado River is about four hours away. There are several other lakes but they are no body contact lakes.
Although if you can get out during a weekday or the off-season the lakes are almost empty. So far so good.
Projected Last Day on the Water
was hoping to get a few more times but we have a massive cold front coming in tonight. gonna be 28 degrees for about 7-8 hours. boats in storage and not winterized, got me a little worried. may go sleep with her tonight

I'm in the same boat as you and I leave for New Zealand Thursday and won't have time to winterize until I come back dec 19....hope we don't get any major cold pushes from now until then

Projected Last Day on the Water
I winterized on 10/12. Changed the oil, full tank of gas, etc. The boat is now sitting at the repair shop getting the platform fixed from backing into a dock, and a spider web impact gouge/crack fixed from a late season incident with a stump. They'll have to drain the new fluids & roll the boat on her side to fix the impact damage. I told the guys that if I knew they were going to do that, I'd have waited to do the fluids :-)
I'm looking to get her back so I can 1, know where she's spending her nights & 2, dream better about my off season upgrades.
