We have any hunters and/or fisherman during the boating off-season!?
What do you guys do to pass the time after the dreaded winterizations!?
I pick up my Bow and start hunting!

I never did get into fishing. I do like catching them though. In the fall and winter I hunt and ride dirt bikes. I will not be doing either this season as I tore up my shoulder wakeboarding on Labor Day and have 2 more months of PT.
Kg and I fish. I get tired of taking the fish off the hook for him.
Poor guy is afraid to touch them.

love to fish-just not enough time and the fact that the fishing boat was sacraficed for the new boat
Fishing is great but I spend the money on beer and have nothing left for bait. Go out there and cast away anyway. Don't ever catch much but a little heat when I get home.

I like to hunt and fish during the colder months. This was last December when the bull reds were running.
Teach a man to fish in TX and you feed a family of 8 with one fish.
just found this....talk about fun

With the Wisconsin deer gun season just around the corner I figured that I could contribute a little this year. Here is my background.
I have been hunting since I was a kid and I've been a part of our hunting group since 1997 the first year that I could legally hunt. I have been hunting ever year with a diverse group of guys. There was a point at camp where I was the youngest at 14 and the oldest member of the group was 92. "The Dutch Hunting Camp" started in 1926 with my Great Great Grandpa and other friends and family. We still continued to hunt in the same small town in northern Wisconsin. It has been an amazing tradition of comradery that will be passed down to many future generations. This year my Grandpa turns 86 and still continues to hunt with us, it is truly a memory that I will always have.
Now for the hunting, it has been really slow the last couple years. The DNR is doing a poor job of managing the herds and there has been a declining deer population the last decade. We have seen a very slight increase the last couple years due to the camps acquisition of more land and better land management, food plots, select cutting, and other tools. Either way I am pumped for the 9 day gun hunt! Be safe out there if you are hitting the woods.
Setting up a stand.

I don't get to go back to our place until 12/6 for our annual guys trip, and I'm ready. I was there the first two weekends in November. I was hoping to get a pig then, but in the places where we are normally overrun with them, there wasn't any sign. This could be because the A&E tv show American Hoggers was on the place next door to ours recently. I didn't take anything but varmints, but when I go back on the 6th I'll probably take a couple of doe and at least 1 buck. Our doe population needs to be thinned out.
It looks like we did have some pigs in between my visits, but at only 1 of the 7 locations where I had cameras setup.

And I'm dying to take an Aoudad with my bow, but it hasn't been done too many successful times

Man, wish I saw that kind of activity in the woods here in MI lol! This has been a dismal year for me, I've only seen 3 does and one buck. Was up north in the national forest for opener a week and a half ago. I'm going up again this Friday, hoping for the best.
