I pulled it home, 250+ miles with the last 100 or so being all ice. I made it to our subdivision, and...
...then it happened...
....driving up a hill to get into our neighborhood....
...I hit a total ice slick, stopped moving forward, started sliding backward down the hill, no brakes, no gas, no steering...
....then it happened....

Not too bad, trailer and wake plate took the bulk of the damage as the boat pushed about 5" forward on the trailer and broke the weld on the bow stop. All things considered we got SUPER lucky to hit where we did and not jackknife.
Here is a picture of the hill, and the tree I slid backward into;

So, once I got it home I parked it at the base of our driveway (another very steep hill) and took it to a pole barn I've rented for the remainder of winter.
All uncovered, I'm so pumped with how good it looks!

lol - I'm just glad nobody was hurt - my 8 month pregnant wife being in the car and me having absolutely no control for 3 seconds was the most terrifying experience of my life. Boat can be fixed, people can't :)

Ian, the boat looks fantastic!
So sorry you had the mishap, but glad to read your perspective and very glad everyone is OK.
