what weight bags u using? Going to have to try this with our DD also..
I have a Flyhigh tube sack under the rear seat ~350 pounds.
On either side of the doghouse, there's a 750 pound sack (20x20x50")
The small one on the seat we honestly don't know the weight. We call it the "baby bag" and guess it's around 150 pounds. I have two over the side pumps and we kicked out the extra money and got the check valves on the bags so that we don't have water spraying everywhere when we disconnect the pump to cap off the bag.
I've also got a smaller custom surf platform because my OEM swim platform was digging into the wave and killing some of the energy. My boat also has a ton of freeboard, so that helps me out when weighting it.
However, I also have a surf system installed on my boat so that I can run it level and get a great surf wave. Without that, I would have to run slammed in the rear. I would actually put a 750 on the surfside floor and put a 650 bag on top of that sticking into the rear seat. the baby bag would often not get used. I was running with water only a few inches below the rub rail at rest and water at the rub rail halfway up the hull when going.
If you want to run level like I do, you have to have some kind of surf system. I have NSS style blades. Others have done surf gates or "ghetto gates". Some have even mounted trim tabs as surf tabs like MC/Supra/MB are doing.

Just some early morning bliss.
Bunch of boating crazies last night...

And got my buddy out on the surfboard. it was his first time riding so I just put 350 pounds in the underseat ballast and delployed the surf blade. He was basically "skurfing" but he had a blast and got up the first time. I didn't feel like messing with filling the other 1500 pounds of ballast, so this was the "newbie" setting where beginners can learn to get up and lineride. :-)

I did prove later that I could freeride with 350 pounds of ballast and a could kids in the back seat. Albeit for only 5 to 10 seconds leaning really far forward! But hey, I wanted to prove I could freeride a direct drive with almost no ballast. haha.

Nephew - he's a real ocean surfer. Took him all of 30 seconds to get up, make a few cuts and then throw the rope...

"THE TOWER" - We actually had scuba gear along and dove down to the bottom here ~ 20-30ft, then further out to 50-60ft. Came up with some eyeglasses, a watch, goggles, and a pull tab off a beer can that was probably 25+ years old. No fish. No bullion.

Then the true daredevils. Got some great GoPro footage of these 2 doing backflips side by side.

Our night surf got kind of spooky - it was so dark with no surrounding lights anywhere that when the rider went down it was hard to find them. Almost like playing Marco Polo until we got smart and got out the flashlight. Would have been much easier had we not forgotten the glow sticks at camp. None of the surf pictures turned out either.

Ingenuity at it's best. I especially liked the trailer ball for the tow point. They were nice people - ran into them out on the water (almost literally).

A gig group across from us in camp had crap spread everywhere across 3 spots with a "Blah blah Family Reunion" banner out front. So I decided to fly our banner as well. I know, classy!
