***On water - wake plate issue***
Need a little troubleshooting help. Wake plate won't move. Makes noise when I try to move down, no noise when I try to move up.
I just installed my FAE. During installation I removed the bolt joining the ram to the plate for wrench clearance, but I didn't unplug any electric cables or anything like that. And there is nothing restricting the plate from moving - there is plenty of clearance.
Any thoughts?

If I were a reservoir, where would I be?
UPDATED: ***On water - wake plate issue***
Could not find a reservoir to fill. Weird thing is it began working once I had the boat listed, but as soon as I emptied the sacs it wouldn't work again. This leads me to believe it is a low fluid issue, but mcdye says I should have an electric ram so fluid wouldn't matter. Now I'm super confused on where to start.

There is only one ram or cylinder from the hull to the plate.

You have an electrical actuator. Did you confirm the plate isn't moving or were you only going by what the gauge said?

Confirmed it wasn't moving.
Being electric, I have no idea why it moved while the boat was listed, yet did not move as soon as bags were emptied.
I don't mind buying a new cylinder and just replacing it, but I really would like to know what the root cause is.

Boat's back at storage, I didn't get a chance yet to dive into it.
I'll check the wiring, but I'm still confused as to why the listing seemed to correct the problem. I can't imagine it's just coincidence, because the plate was used quite a bit throughout the day and worked flawlessly while listing, but as soon as everything was level again it didn't work. Still made noise when lever was moved "down" (although the plate was already down), yet made no noise at all when lever was moved up.
