CD Player Problem

I finally got the boat in the moat this past weekend! After a minor setback and forgetting about the battery isolator switch we were on our way. Now I'm scratching my head trying to figure out what happened to the stock CD deck over the winter. My problem is that my eject button no longer does its sole duty and now forwards tracks on the disc instead. The worst part is that I'm stuck listening to whatever my wife thought was trendy last year!

I checked the manual which only said to hit the reset button. Did that with no luck. Any other ideas or is it time to scrap it?

Plug in iPod/iPhone and use aux input, should bypass the cd altogether.
