Max rear transom trays mod inquiry
Anyone modified the trays to be removable without removing struts? Already had one screw get messed up on one side and not looking to cause another in the near future. Plus, would be super convenient for the quick ability to re-winterize.
Curious if anyone has made any cuts to the trays in such a way that they are removable. I am sure it will lose some of its strength, but I never have anything heavy in the trays... mostly just ropes, life jackets, cleaners, and towels. Thinking of giving it a whirl sometime this month.

I cut access holes in the side panels below the swivel locks just big enough to get a finger in to turn the latch. This way I can unlatch and remove
the side panels to do maintenance. No need to remove the top/center tray.
Edit-Just realized that you are talking about the trays in the side locker areas. I do not have these trays.

I just realized this when I went out earlier today. I was thinking, gee, would be slick if these just popped off and inspected a little closer to realize I’m an idiot and they do.
Also, the center one can come out without the need for doing anything, just pressed in on each side near the strut to clear it.... one side at a time and came out easy. I must have been overwhelmed with a new boat last year not realizing these things.
TLDR: trays come out without the need to bring the Dremel out! Good news!
