Maxing outback v wakeboarding
Need help for setting up the wake for boarding on a 2011 outback v. Right now I have 750's in the rear and then 400 in front locker. It is kinda lippy whith every thing full, seams like the wake rolls over. Riding at 65 ft and 21.5 mph. I can jump toe side and heel. I just want a big clean wake and would love to ride at 70 feet. Does the wake get better. Wife said this boat has to last 2 more years. Trying to learn flips and want a bigger tranny and tips?

Bow weight, lots more bow weight.
If you are at 1500 in the rear id guess you need a minimum of 1000 in the bow. That's gonna have to get close to the boat's limits, though.
Id play around with running less rear weight. With your existing bags you might try a 750 in bow and 400 in rear (fill other 750 equal amount) and see if titty like that wake more.
I have no direct experience with the outback v ... Just think your front to rear ratio needs to be closet to 50/50. Most sc boats like to be closer to 60/40.

Wax, have you put a GPS to that speed? It sounds like you also run rear heavy, maybe forcing you to ride that fast? I'd bet you could slow the speed down if you added some weight to the bow.
I know each boat is different but our boat is typically setup at 23 - 24 mph with 2300 - 2700 lbs. Riding between 75 and 80 ft. Typically, the more weight and line length, the more speed needed.
Here are 2 examples of 80 ft and 24'ish mph
Kg, I really like the look of your wake at 24 and 80'!

G23 is a very different beast, you can get a better wake by going slower, the hull is designed that way...

100% agree. Like I mentioned before, my buddy and I learned our backrolls (along with other non invert tricks) behind my 17' I/O without a tower. It's honestly just improving your technique, and then figure out what works best for you. As you can see, nobody rides the same speed or setup. It's all what feels best to you.
Personally, after hearing how everybody else rides soooooo sloooooow, lol, I will play with slowing it down and see how I like it. Who knows, maybe I don't need to ride as fast behind this lsv as I did behind my Supra.

Epiphany...I'm 27. Is this the first sign of getting old, memory loss?

Absolutely, always looking for riding buddies. PM me your number. I'm on Long Lake in Lake Orion. I ride on middle straits and sylvan sometimes too, on friend's boats.
Honestly, barely anybody wakeboards or surfs on my lake and people think it's amazing that I don't need a rope to surf and that I can do a 360 on a surfboard and wakeboard...that's the kind of people I ride with most lol. I have very little drive for progression with those conditions unfortunately!

Great idea, kg start the thread with your pics! I suggest in general chat since it has the most traffic.
