I hate thieves!!!
About 8-9 months ago the wife and I moved to a new house, so the old house has been on the market for about that long. Well this morning I had to go over there for a termite inspection and discovered that the compressor for the air conditioning unit is gone, just cut copper pipes and an empty concrete pad....son of a......looks like it will be USAA to the rescue. I hate thieves!!!!

Thats gotta be a new low. Sorry for your loss.

unbelievable. Man that sucks.
-
that sucks- time for some southern justice
-
Why wouldn't they just take the whole condensor dorks
-
My wife had 2 listings for new houses in the middle of nowhere that never sold after the builder went belly up. The thieves took the whole AC units.
There are three types. The ones that sell the copper for scrap, the ones who sell whole unit as a unit-- you see them on Craigslist all the time, and the ones who sell the compressors on ebay.

and the 4th kind...the ones who get caught by a 40 caliber slug a 1200 fps
-
Yeah it sucks. I looked at the unit today and it is a R22 style so that means the entire unit has to be replaced. Both the outside unit (which was stolen) and the furnace/condensor inside. This is just getting worse.....

No I am an ac guy and you can still by compressors for r22 just not new units. Should cost total maybe1000. Total I mean.
