Does anyone know if the waterways through the neighborhoods of Cape Coral are freshwater or saltwater?
Fresh to brackish, depending on how close you get to the intercoastal is my guess. My father in law lives on a canal there and its fresh water behind his home, but he's a good way inland. Some of the bridges are real low, so be careful if you're planning to take your Moomba. And, I believe the water popo is pretty strict on speed / wake.
That's kind of what I was thinking. No plans of boating there, I was just curious about it, seems like a pretty cool place to live.
If you want to buy cheap and have a loooooong term plan to stay there or no expectations for having your home appreciate in value. It's one of the nations hardest hit and worse markets.
