...nope, didn't buy a new boat, but I did give L a ring, and she actually said yes!
I'm pretty excited, to say the least.

Congrats Ian, That is great to hear. Now as long as she does not try to stop your MOOMBA addiction you will be in good shape.
Ian - Congratulations to you and your honey! - Deerfield
Congratz Enjoy the ride
somehow my "congrats Ian" got posted over in Mike's new home thread.
So, CONGRATS Ian!
lol, thanks guys!
She isn't as hardcore about the boat as dad and I are, but she "gets it"
It's also her family that has the cottage on Torch Lake, so she's been a boater her whole life too :)
congrats! My wife was not a boater when we met but 10 yrs later she went wakboarding today in 46 degree water!
Congrats man! Best wishes to you both.
Congrats Ian
Congrats Ian! May you both be blessed....
Congrats, Ian! Just catching up as I have been out and about for a week.
Congrats! That's great!
Putting the "BLING" on the boat and the girl. Good job!
Strong work! Congrats brutha!
I gotta laugh remembering my proposal; right after Vicki pulled the weeds out of my Sleekcraft jet boat, (the boat that started it all for Ian), and dried off, I "popped the question."
20+ years later, she still puts up with me, and my boat and car addictions!
And yes...Laura indeed "gets it", she is an awesome lady! Congrats to both of you.
Bashton aka "Dad"
Ian, from one Michigander Moomba Maniac to another --- congrats to and your soon to be wife. Were you up snowskiing?
A man is incomplete Until he is married. After that, he is finished.
(Just kidding) wishing you both all the great things in life, may the love you share grow deeper with every passing year ...congrats
All the best to both of you... and enjoy one another, for better or worst :)
My wife gets it too. She put up with my car obsession years, joining the boys and i at the dragstrip. All my years of motorcycles, building and selling them. And of course my boat obsessions. After 34 years she still gets it and enjoys whatever we're doing. In fact I think she's just as obsessed with the boat as I am! :D
