Get that IBS in Jason! Pretty easy and makes a big difference.
Dammit Jason don't make me do it when I come to Texas. I will not have you wasting fuel on an OK wave VS a great wave.
my opinion is that you should also ride it. looking at a wave does not indicate how much push it has or what it really rides like.
I have heard over and over that the 'bu/axis surfgate doesn't make a great wave, just a good wave as you can't sack the boat out, however it switches from side to side quickly. feels like flow is in the same category.
if I was ordering a new boat, i'd probably tick the box to get it installed as if you don't really like the wave, you don't have to use it. retrofit would be a different story. I'd have to see how good the wake really becomes before spending the cash on it.
I agree, I need to surf it. I don't typically run a lot of weight. I don't like bags exposed. I have an 1100 surfside, 750 goofy side, 400 factory mid, and I have the old factory 400's under the bow. Occasionally I'll throw 400 on the floor but I don't like crawling over bags. I think the Flow might work well with my limited weight.
This was the thread I followed.
