Notice the suction cup marks window, friends love they can stick them any place.
Awesome playpen pic!
No no, keep it here or PM the info too because I have a 2008 21V and my wife is always wanting to surf but I just don't feel like dealing with the hassle since my current set up produces an absolute sh*t wave which is just my G3 with 750's in rear lockers and stock 650 in center ski locker. My wakeboard wake is great, surfing not at all and I'd like to really get this set up right.
I am running the following
when surfing regular
750's rear lockers port side full starboard side around 300 or so
belly full I think it is a 1100 lb sac.
400 lb of lead around the nose
400 lb sac on the back deck
400 lb sac in the bow (we were surfing without this one but notice it really lengthens the wake out with it)
Most of the time we got crew of about six in the boat.
Speed 10.6 wake plate all the way up most the time. I play with the plate a litte to try and clean the wake up some.
This work well for regular I only have one friend who surfs goofy and he only comes out every now and than.
and on that side I set it up the same but also have to use the extra 400lb on the rear seat no matter what and it is never as good as the regular side.
Surf time.

Shortly after this I had a lil problem with a fitting on my 1180 basement sac breaking loose. Drained off probably 1/3 or more of it so between the bilge runs on the float switch we had a few hundred extra in the very back surf corner. Didn't realize it at first but noticed the rub rail was touching the water and even under at rest and only 2 people sitting on that side. I was in the water, looking at it going 'wait a minute....'
Wave was taller than I've ever seen, maybe up to my ribs but pretty short. We chickened out and started draining after a short run because the wind started picking up it was going to get choppy.

Only been surfing a little more than a month. Thought I would throw my son on the board with me. He hated it, then loved it....Attachment 20567Attachment 20567

We love barges - that's a 4-seater, not a kite tube but we did our best.

Actually had to quit after this one. Somebody's head hit somebody's butt, who's knee hit somebody's arm, who's foot hit.....

5 new kids surfing behind the boat... they all start on their belly then to their knees. 2 stood up amd rode.. the rest played around on their knees and one had it figured out with leaning forward and back to keep the rope slack. I run goofy full regular at approx 65% floor full amd ibs full. Makes a good wave on both sides... love the easy switching with the flow!!! And best part was not once did I hear "can we tube??"

Some great pics to start the month! Lotsa smooth water out there.
Found a couple more that crack me up. That would be one of the boyfriends back there. Actually like the kid but...

I didn't want to start a new thread, but thought this was insane and wanted to share. I don't know how to embed .gif's or if we even can on this forum, sorry for the link.

Best water on a slalom this year. My old man was driving instead of the wifey for once. Then my two best friend's kids wanted to surf after the watched for a bit. They're both 6, and loved it!
A few came in from my buddy's phone. Apparently all the evidence from this particular run was not destroyed after all...
Not quite my finest hour

I just bought my 2nd single tube...Getting sick of my wife saying "quit pulling them so hard. somebody's going to get hurt" when I have the 3-person back there.... But, in her defense, the last few times somebody has gotten hurt... Lots of head-butting. My son's jaw is finally healing after 4 weeks ... oops... Shoulda seen that air tho!
That's great! Especially not hearing "can we tube yet". lol. Seriously, my daughter started getting up lying downa nd then standing up. she's 8. Pretty neat to watch. I've done it on a kneeboard many times, but never a surfboard... I just love seeing my kids (and others) do something besides tube. Seriously, you're just going to get wet if ya fall... haha
Went on vacation and forgot the tube somehow (likely my fault heh heh). Result: 2 new surfers.

Ha, yeah all for your guys' amusement... There was an MC and another Malibu both out on a booze cruise that decided to pull up and watch us surf. So of course my buddy throws me that lifejacket and pushes me in. What a guy...
Got a chance to play around with the GoPro on the wakeboard some while letting my 13yr old practice driving. Perfect conditions for both! Nothing crazy - my knees are too worn out for that. Gotta start building up my pic/video arsenal for the winter offseason.

Great little video! What did you use for mounts? We're having a big Labor Day bash and would love to make our own.
This one off Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Sticks really well to the boat - turns out it stuck really well to the board too. Other than that I just held onto it.

Also have a monopod with a few GoPro adapters that I've played with. It's mostly aluminum and plastic so no worries about rust and I think it is longer and sturdier than most of the telescoping gopro wand handles I've seen - cheaper too!

Only downside is that if I dropped it in the drink I think it would sink pretty quick - maybe the camera too. Not sure the floats I have are strong enough to keep it up.
