What should I buy at home depot or lowes that I can use in replacement of the prop puller. I got a new prop but can't get the old one off. I don't have a torch either.

go to harbor freight and buy a set of 3 2-sided pullers. they are around $15 and are only sold in a set of 3. make sure and get just the 2-arm, not the 3-arm.
the 2arms will fit around the 4blade props. it's tight, but I've taken mine off twice with them..

Check sears as well they have 2 and 3 arm pullers
took mine off last night..
3 tools..
5" C clamp
hammer
Adj Crescent wrench
a 2x4 to hold prop from spinning while loosening prop shaft nut
loosen bolt on prop half way off (NOT ALL THE Way as you need it to catch prop)
Take crescent wrench and open enough to fit around shaft Behind prop. tighten back up
Take C Clamp and put bottom end on end of shaft and threaded end onto crescent wrench...
tighten up snugly....
Take hammer and tap on end of thread shaft of C Clamp... should pop loose...
worked for me last night..
although I suspect the 3 claw pullers up above would help as well!
Sandm, Thanks!! That worked perfect.
