A friend sent me these pics of the boat in the next slip that had the stern facing the waves with a bad bilge pump.

It looks like everyone went to the other side to dock. With the waves, you still need to back it in and try and find some decent tie off points. Of course, if the wind just picks up it is hard to back out of the slip and back it in without a lot of help.
yes that would ruin a day or two. but if its fresh water it is savable.
That's a nightmare for sure.
