Hey yall, I have the stock porp on my '08 LS, would changing to this one be any real improvement?

Is your stock a 13 x 13? What are your goals? More low end pull?
13x11 1/2 Afriend offered it to me for almost mothing. I was just wondering if it would be worth the labor.
Zegm who used to come on here and had your boat went to, I think, an ACME 13x12 4 blade and loved the results. I'm not sure you would see much difference with just a little bit of pitch difference. The "new" prop might have a little more top end and a little less low end pull because it is higher pitched. But, depending on the cupping of the two props the difference might not even be noticeable. Do you have a spare? You could swap and see what you like better and keep the other for a spare. Never hurts to pick up a cheap spare.
The Acme 515 is the same diameter but has a half inch more pitch than your current prop. So you will have marginally less low end pull but a little more top end. I don't think you would feel the difference. If he is letting it go cheap, it might be wise to buy it to have a spare. There is not a lot of labor in swapping props, assuming you have a prop puller.
Looks like Kane beat me to the punch by a few minutes :)
Call Acme and OJ props (eric) and see what they recommend for your boat and tell them about your buying opportunity. They will both help you out
kk, thanks guys!!! I thinkI will just get it for a spare then.
Looks like your boat has a 1" shaft whereas the Acme 515 is for a 1-1/8" shaft so this would be a no go.
oh, bummer. Ok
