Figured I would start a mod thread for the boat..... Have them on other forums for the camper and truck....
Added a spare tire and spare tire mount
Next up is to drill some holes in the hull - Faria thru hull depth finder/water/air temp
After that will be a second battery and selector
Then led accent lighting in the boat and under water on transom
Then tower lights
Then amp and speakers
Then.......

Looking forward to seeing the mods you do.
Before you drill your depth finder hole you may want to at least plan out where you will put future ballast intakes.
well Samson extreme3 quick release tower mirror mount went on with the cipa Deluxe 180' mirror
Faria SS depth water/air temp will be finished tonight - ran wires last night
star gazer upgrade ordered .... here Thursday
thru hull depth sensor/sonar is going to go in in front of the Speed paddle just starboard of centerline and keel/fins
easily accessible through the engine compartment....

Always fun drilling new holes in your boat. My grandfather probably turns over in his grave when I drill holes in the bottom to let more water in.

Why put it directly in line with the paddle wheel? Isn't that going to disrupt the water flow to the paddle wheel and in turn make that reading less accurate?? Maybe you dont' care because you have stargazer?Quote:

That's what I read.... Seemed like from what I was reading.... Thru hull seemed actually easier.... Hardest part is fishing wire to the dash.... Drilling the hole and mounting was 1/2 hour of building courage for the first hole and a good location.... 10 minutes to drill caulk and mount.... Lol

Getting some free time.... So.... Rockford Fosgate 8" tower speakers are in the garage.... Couple of amps and a sub.... Figure I mine as well replace cabin speakers as well....
Planning in some led lighting....
Had windshield tinted today..... Really had a hard time deciding between 5% and 15%

define useful? Looks good and therefore is useful in making my boat look good ... LOL ....and it takes about 20 lbs off my figure :)
Not really for anything other than cosmetics ....... also have a bow and cockpit snap on cover coming.....
Will also make a smoked Plexi glass door to the bow as well ..... keep the cool sunset and sunrise air at a minimum for late in the season when air is cold but lake water temp is still nice......
Got around to starting on 12" sub enclosure..... Hopefully mount amps and Tower speakers tomorrow..... Then replace cabin speakers and some led lighting..... And cockpit and bow snap cover..... Snap on Bow and cockpit cover installed..... Primarily wanted bow cover for cool mornings(already have a good full cover) ..... Cover looks great -- I miss the snap on cover I had on the old SeaRay, it was so easy to put on and take off. Struggling with the poles and straps with the new cover makes me angry every time I put it on.
Where did you get yours? And if I may ask, what was the price tag?
703. 00 for both.... Great lakes boat cover.... Nice to deal with.... I didn't have male snaps on boat..... So they put snaps on cover.... Then I put them on boat.... Will have to see how snaps in aluminum work.... They don't seem as nice as u screw into the groove and only a little bit of the screw grabs..... Fiberglass ones are in solid

What mirror and bracket is that? Is your tower 1 5/8" or larger? Looks good.
