Texas Freeze
Well, it looks like the Texas freeze may have gotten me after all.
Tried taking the Max out today and coolant temp kept rising an then smoke coming from engine. Got towed back to my dock and rand the engine diagnostics and got these 4 codes:
ECT higher than expected stage 1
CHT higher than expected stage 2
EMWT1 higher than expected stage 1
EMWT2 higher than expected stage 1
Any idea what these all are?
TIA

Water intake plugged? Valve open?

Did you winterize it or have it done?
Any water or coolant in the bilge?

Was there any, well you know, water shooting out of anywhere?

So I haven't ever changed the impeller actually and now I'm thinking that may be all it is? Ordered a new one and going to open this one up tomorrow and see if hopefully that's it. No water shooting out when i start the engine so a crack is seeming less likely.

Make sure you valve is open on the bottom of the boat. Dealers usually close this during winterization. Along with the ballast valves.
Not sure if you have a flush-system, but you can see the water getting pumped into the boat.

Well if that impeller is the original one then it looks like it’s pushing 4 years and either way should be replaced. Now if you discover the old one disintegrated then you should pull off the line going to the tranny cooler to clean out the rubber pieces. Now I’m not familiar with the closed loop systems and how they operate so take it FWIW. If you ever ran the boat on the trailer with no water this will kill a impeller in a matter of seconds. Try a fake a lake once you get the new one on to see if it’s working. Hope this helps

Thanks a lot for all the suggestions guys. Will be pulling the impeller and checking cooling system today. New impeller comes tomorrow. Boat is still on the lift at my house so will be able to just lower into the water to check thankfully.
