53 degree water?
Last year we started when it was 48 degree water. A full wetsuit helps plus gloves and booties
53 is chilly anywhere!
Well I was going to get the Mojo out last weekend and head to the same spot, but after seeing the water temp u posted I think I'll wait another 2 weeks or so! I am a cold weather wennie! Even with wetsuit it better be about 60deg! If you see a red and white mojo come say hi! We are building a house on Savannah Bay in Harrison Bay so I need some pointers on the best spots from the Dam to Harrison Bay Area.
You're in luck then....my fisherfriend tells me that he's reading a balmy 64 this evening :)
OK, so I nerded out and made this for you:

Click on all of the different things to see what they are.
Enjoy! I'm jealous that you're going to be right there on the water!
Also this is important:

I'll be on the lookout for you...I'm hoping to make it out there Sunday afternoon/evening. Blue and yellow mobius lsv.
im getting better with the cool water, two years ago half way through oct i was in a full 3/2, last year i finished at the end of november in a heater top
You're welcome :)
Correction on the temp: 64 in Chester Frost, 57 in the channel.
Hey, I think I saw you out there! The boys and I cruised through Chester Frost around 7:45pm, looked out there in the channel, and there sat a red/white wakeboard boat...too far away for me to see the make, but it was purty ;) If it was you, it looks like you got to enjoy a nice sunset.
Another thing...go to Walmart, look next to the gun ammo counter, and get a Chickamauga Lake map. Only $6-$8, and it's invaluable. Chickamauga will happily eat your prop...she's shallow and has hazards in strange spots.
53 is cold. I have a 2mm springsuit, and I don't go much below 60.
